Tisha and Oishee to star with Shakib Khan in ‘Soldier’

Small-screen favourite Tanjin Tisha is making her big-screen debut opposite superstar Shakib Khan in director Shakeeb Fahad's new film "Soldier." Joining them is Jannatul Ferdous Oishee, with shooting already underway in Dhaka.
For weeks, speculation swirled around Tisha's first film appearance, but both the actress and the production team had stayed silent. Director Shakeeb Fahad has now confirmed the cast and said a first-look poster of the two actresses will be released soon.

"The actors were chosen according to the story," said Fahad from the film's shooting set. "You'll see Tanjin Tisha opposite Shakib Khan — this is her first film, and we're thrilled. People across the country have been waiting to see Tisha on the big screen. Jannatul Ferdous Oishee is also in the cast. I believe the audience won't be disappointed."
Produced by Sun Music and Motion Pictures Limited , "Soldier" also stars Tarik Anam Khan and Tauquir Ahmed in key roles. If all goes to plan, the film is expected to hit theatres later this year.

Rumours of Tanjin Tisha's silver-screen debut have circulated for years. Two years ago, talk surfaced that she would act opposite Shakib Khan, but the project never materialised. This time, it's finally happening.
Earlier this year, reports in Indian media claimed that Tisha would appear in a Tollywood film titled "Bhalobashar Morshum" alongside Bollywood actor Sharman Joshi. However, visa complications reportedly delayed production, and the actress eventually decided to prioritise her local project, "Soldier".
"The shooting schedules for both films clashed," Tisha explained. "I wanted my big-screen debut to be through a Bangladeshi film. And I couldn't miss the chance to work with a star like Shakib Khan."

Tisha was previously rumoured to star opposite Shakib in Raihan Rafi's film "Premik", which never went into production. With "Soldier", that long-anticipated pairing is finally becoming a reality.
Meanwhile, Oishee was last seen in Abu Tauhid Heron's 2023 film "Adam", opposite Yash Rohan. She was also linked to Asif Islam's "Jatri", although that project has yet to move forward.
Filming for "Soldier" began on October 5, with Tisha joining the shoot. Her first scenes with Shakib Khan are scheduled for October 11. Director Fahad describes the film as a patriotic story of courage and hope.
"At the end of the day, our story is one of optimism," Fahad said. "No matter how deep the crisis, we keep hope alive — that's the heart of 'Soldier.'"
