Sadie Sink is gearing up to make her debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The "Stranger Things" star has officially joined the cast of "Spider-Man 4", where she will appear alongside Tom Holland, who reprises his role as the young web-slinging superhero.

Details about Sink's character remain under wraps, but industry insiders suggest her role will be pivotal to the storyline.

According to Deadline, which first broke the news, speculation is swirling that she could portray Jean Grey—one of the most iconic members of the "X-Men". The character has previously been portrayed on screen by Famke Janssen and Sophie Turner.

Neither Marvel Studios nor Sony Pictures, the studios behind the "Spider-Man" franchise within the MCU, have provided any official statements regarding Sink's casting.

Plot details for the upcoming "Spider-Man 4" remain under wraps. However, the previous installment, 2021's "Spider-Man: No Way Home", saw Peter Parker inadvertently shatter the boundaries of the multiverse, pulling alternate versions of himself—played by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield—into his world.

The chaotic crossover led to dire consequences, forcing Holland's Peter to make the heartbreaking choice of erasing himself from the memories of his loved ones, including MJ (Zendaya) and Ned (Jacob Batalon). If that sounds like a spoiler, well, with a staggering $1.9 billion global box office haul, most Marvel enthusiasts are likely already in the loop.

Destin Daniel Cretton, best known for directing "Shang-Chi" and the "Legend of the Ten Rings", has been tapped to helm the fourth instalment. He steps in for Jon Watts, who guided the trilogy to critical and commercial success.

"Spider-Man 4" is set to hit theatres on July 31, 2026.

Sadie Sink, now 22, gained widespread recognition for her role in Netflix's "Stranger Things", which recently wrapped filming on its highly anticipated fifth and final season.

She also starred in Taylor Swift's acclaimed short film "All Too Well", alongside Dylan O'Brien. Up next, Sink will headline Searchlight Pictures' musical fantasy "O'Dessa", which premiered at SXSW, and is set to make her Broadway debut this April in "John Proctor Is the Villain".
