Shakib Khan to be the first Bangladeshi superstar to appear in pan-Indian cinema
Shakib Khan is set to act in a pan-Indian cinema titled "Dorod", directed by Anonno Mamun. This will make him the first Bangladeshi superstar to act in such a project.
The contract of the film was signed at Shakib's office in Gulshan, last night. He was handed the official script of the film at the presence of the director of the film accompanied by Saniat Hossain and Kamal Kibria Lipu.
The film will feature "Jannat" famed Bollywood actress Sonal Chauhan, alongside Indian actors Payel Sarker, Rajesh Sharma and Dev Chandrima. It also casts Bangladeshi actors Misha Sawdagar, Lutfur Rahman George, Imtu, and Elina Shammi, among others.
The shooting of the film will begin in Banaras from October 20. "Since it is a pan-Indian cinema, so we will have the opportunity to release it simultaneously in for the audiences in Bangla, Tamil, and Telegu. After confirming the news to The Daily Star, Anonno Mamun shared that Shakib will surprise everyone with his look for this project, and at he is working on it at this very moment.
The film is being co-produced by SK Movies and Indian production company One World Movies.
