Shah Rukh Khan acknowledges Bangladesh release of ‘Pathaan’
After much speculation, Shah Rukh Khan starrer "Pathaan" is finally releasing in Bangladesh on February 24. Yesterday, in a press conference, the Ministry of Information, confirmed that the film has been given the green signal to release in the country.
Amidst this, Shah Rukh Khan took to Twitter and tweeted, "I have been told Pathaan will release there (Bangladesh) soon," in reply to a question by a Bangladeshi fan.
Earlier on, the 19 film-related associations came to an agreement that Hindi films can be released across cinema halls in Bangladesh.
These associations do not want to oppose the import of Hindi films in Bangladesh. After the discussion, they also suggested that every year, 10 Hindi films should be released in Bangladeshi theatres.
"Pathaan" was released in India on January 25. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film marks the return of Bollywood King, Shah Rukh Khan to the big screen after almost four years. The film also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in leading roles. Salman Khan also made a cameo appearance in the movie.
After the release of "Pathaan", the film continued to break the box office record in each and every day passing by. The film has now earned Rs 1000 crore worldwide after the release.
