Release of ‘Pathaan’ in Bangladesh: Decision still pending
Currently, there is a lot of speculation around whether Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan" will release in Bangladesh. Yesterday, a distribution company had sent a letter to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting regarding the issue.
Today, a decision was supposed to be made in regards to the screening of "Pathaan" in Bangladesh from the ministry.
However, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting could not come to a decision in today's meeting. Now, they have informed The Daily Star that they have to send a letter to the Ministry of Commerce, as there are some issues regarding movie import and the SAFTA agreement.
If the film is allowed to release in Bangladesh, it will be showcased just two days after its Indian release—which will take place tomorrow.
With "Pathaan", SRK is finally returning to the big screen with even bigger expectations, accompanied by Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. There are rumours that we might even see a cameo from Salman Khan and Hritik Roshan in the film.
"Pathaan" made headlines before its release, due to its exotic dance numbers. Bangladeshi fans seem to be extremely excited to see SRK's return after his four-year hiatus.
