Upon the release of "Prohelika" in Sydney, Australia, the Bengali community is excited and showering their love for their country by going to the cinemas to watch the film.

Mahfuz Ahmed is currently enjoying his time with his family in Australia. Meanwhile, he watched the film with his wife, and received great response from the audience as well.

"I am amazed by the audience's reaction, it feels like I am attending screenings in Dhaka," told the actor to The Daily Star. "I never imagined that my film will be released in Sydney, I feel really lucky for such an opportunity."

The actor also shared that mostly female audiences have crowded the cinemas, where there were very few male viewers. "I wanted to know the reason behind this, and asked most of the audience, while they responded that the men were babysitting at home, and the women have come to watch the film. Next week, the men will also come to watch 'Prohelika'."

With "Prohelika", the cinema halls of Sydney saw an unusual scenario. Normally, Bengali films would get only one show every day. However, due to high demand, this film got three shows every day. "The authorities were surprised to see such demand for this film, this is an amazing news for us as well."

During the hall visit, Mahfuz got a pleasant surprise. "My first acted project on television was 'Kon Kanoner Phul', in 1989. In that project, a child artiste named Tasnova Himel Diti shared the screen with me. Her name on-screen was Togor. She, along with her husband and mother came to watch 'Prohelika'. After watching the film, she came to me and shared that she worked with me in my first acted project. I was really surprised!"
