New ‘Demon Slayer’ movie hits Star Cineplex

Japanese anime is admired all over the world, and one of the most popular franchises among them is Demon Slayer. The franchise's 2020 release "Mugen Train" achieved unexpected success, setting the record for the highest-grossing film in Japan's cinematic history.
Two more films were released afterward, both performing well by following the path of the first film's success. Now, a new movie titled "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Infinity Castle" is coming to the big screen.
The film was released in Japan on July 18. It premiered in several countries, including the United States, Canada, and India, on September 12. In Bangladesh, the film was released at Star Cineplex, yesterday (September 16).
The news was confirmed by Mesbah Uddin Ahmed, Senior Marketing Officer of Star Cineplex.
"Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Infinity Castle" is the first installment of an upcoming film trilogy based on the globally acclaimed anime series "Demon Slayer". The film is adapted from the Infinity Castle arc of the manga, where the Demon Slayer Corps enters Muzan's terrifying, physics-defying fortress. The Infinity Castle is considered one of the most thrilling parts of the Demon Slayer manga, plunging the Corps into the final battle against Muzan.
Directed by Haruo Sotozaki, the film features some of Japan's finest voice actors, including Natsuki Hanae and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka. The movie will mark the beginning of the Demon Slayer Corps' final battle, where Tanjiro and his companions face the ultimate showdown inside the Infinity Castle.
In its first four days of release from July 18 to 21, the film earned 7.31 billion yen in Japan, setting records for the highest opening day and the highest single-day earnings in the country. In just eight days, the film crossed the 10 billion yen mark, making it the fastest film in Japanese cinema history to achieve this milestone.
