‘Manusher Bagan’ becomes first film of 2026 to receive censor certificate
Impress Telefilm Ltd's upcoming film “Manusher Bagan” has become the first movie of 2026 to receive certification from the Bangladesh Film Certification Board. The film, directed by Nurul Alam Atique, has now officially cleared the censor process and is set for theatrical release soon.
Produced by the renowned banner Impress Telefilm, “Manusher Bagan” revolves around people from different walks of life, weaving together stories that reflect the diversity and complexity of society. The film also features a song titled “Manusher Bagan”,performed by popular band Chirkutt, with lyrics penned by Nahidur Rahman Anando, who previously wrote the theme song for Atique’s television series “Jadur Shohor”.
A few years ago, the director had shared a striking poster of the film that generated considerable buzz. The poster depicted a globe in the background with people of all ages engaged in various activities in the foreground — symbolically portraying a “garden of humans”.
The film stars Prosun Azad, Manoj Kumar, Jyotika Jyoti, Swagata, Munira Mithu, Mahmud Alam, Dipanwita Martin, and Archita Sporshia, among others.
Nurul Alam Atique first gained prominence in the early 2000s with acclaimed television fictions such as “Choturtho Matra”, “Saikeler Dana”, “A Journey by Boat”, and “Bikol Pakhir Gaan”. He made his feature film debut in 2010 with “Dubsantar” produced by Impress Telefilm. After a long hiatus from cinema and limited appearances in television fiction, he returned with “Manusher Bagan.” In the meantime, his films “Peyarar Subash” and “Lal Moroger Jhuti” were released.
Impress Telefilm has announced that “Manusher Bagan” will hit theatres soon.
