Following the festive Eid celebrations, a new romantic drama titled "Megher Brishti" is set to premiere, featuring Farhan Ahmed Jovan and Naznin Niha in lead roles.

The story begins with Megh (Jovan), who plans to get married during his visit to Bangladesh from the United States. His mother regularly sends him packages from home, often including photos of potential brides along with handwritten notes. 

Though reluctant, Megh opens one such envelope—this one for a girl named Ritu (Niha). 

In her note, his mother writes, "She's a student at Dhaka Medical College. Very gentle by nature, doesn't leave the house without a burqa or hijab, prays regularly, speaks little. I believe this girl won't trouble you or argue back. She'll listen to you. Only drawback—she has no siblings, so you'll miss out on the fun with brothers- and sisters-in-law."

Despite the glowing description, it is not the note but Ritu's photograph that wins over Megh. He decides to travel back to Bangladesh to marry her. 

However, once they meet, Megh discovers that Ritu is nothing like the portrait his mother painted.

The drama is written and scripted by Emdad Babu and directed by Masrikul Alam under the CMV banner.

"This is a beautiful love story. I hope audiences will appreciate it," said the director.

Producer SK Shahed Ali Pappu shared that 14 special dramas were released on CMV's YouTube channel during the Eid festivities, all of which received strong responses.
