Jacqueline tried to flee India,destroy evidence: ED opposes her bail in extortion case
Actor Jacqueline Fernandez has been in hot waters with India's Enforcement Directorate, regarding her involvement in a 200 crore extortion case.
ED completely thrashed her case in court during the hearing for her regular bail application.
According to reports by ED, The actress has been accused of tampering with evidence by deleting crucial information from her mobile phone. She was not cooperating with the agency during the investigation and tried to escape from India. However, she failed to do that as her name was pinned in the "lookout circular".
Jacqueline's lawyer has stated that they didn't get any documents from ED.
The court has adjourned another date for the hearing on November 10.
Jacqueline has been involved in a secret relationship with conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar, who has cheated many powerful people including former Fortis Healthcare promoter Shivinder Mohan Singh's wife Aditi Singh.
The ED accused Jacqueline and Nora Fatehi, of receiving expensive gifts and luxury cars from Sukesh.
