Azmeri Haque Badhan has been steadily returning to the spotlight with a string of new projects after a challenging period in her career.

As the actress gears up for several upcoming releases, she is set to appear in a new web series titled “Chokro Season 2”, directed by Vicky Zahed, which will be released soon. In the series, Badhan plays an important role.

“First of all, I want to say that Vicky Zahed is a very good and talented director. His work is receiving a lot of praise from audiences. I had long wanted to work with him, and that wish has been fulfilled through ‘Chokro Season 2’”, she said.

The actor also revealed that the series marks her first on-screen collaboration with Tawsif Mahbub. “I worked with Tawsif for the first time in ‘Chokro’. This is also my first project with Vicky Zahed. The story is excellent. Overall, ‘Chokro’ is a good web series, and I believe audiences will enjoy it,” she added.

Reflecting on the shooting experience, Badhan described it as a memorable one. She said that working with the cast and crew was enjoyable and that all her co-actors delivered strong performances. “The experience of working in the ‘Chokro’ series was very good. All the co-actors I worked with performed very well. It was a truly wonderful experience,” she noted.

In “Chokro Season 2”, Badhan takes on a character that differs from the roles she has portrayed in the past.

According to the actor, the uniqueness of both the story and the character drew her to the project. “I have never played this type of role before. Just as the story is unique, the character is also quite exceptional. I really enjoyed portraying it and thoroughly enjoyed working on the project,” she said.

Badhan also shared that the current year has been particularly positive for her career. “This year has been going very well for me. One project after another is coming my way, and there is a lot of good news,” she said.

Recently, the actor returned from the Netherlands, where the film “Master”, featuring her in a lead role, won an award. “It feels quite special,” she said about the achievement.

Meanwhile, Badhan is also preparing for the release of her upcoming film “Bonolota Express”, which is scheduled to hit theatres this Eid. The film is directed by Tanim Noor. “Even before its release, ‘Bonolota Express’ has been receiving a great response. I believe audiences will watch the film, and I feel very confident about it,” she said.

However, the actor also opened up about a challenging period in her career. She revealed that she did not work for nearly a year and a half despite having delivered several acclaimed performances.

“I did not work for a year and a half, which is unfortunate. Even after doing several highly praised projects, I remained without work for that long. In life, good times come, but they do not stay forever. After the July movement, I did not work for a year and a half. During that time, I had to rely on my savings to get by,” she said.

Badhan reflected on the unpredictable nature of the entertainment industry, noting that success does not remain constant. “Life is a combination of many things. Success does not come all the time. Right now, work is coming my way, but there may be times when it doesn’t. Keeping that reality in mind, we have to keep working,” she added.

Expressing optimism about her upcoming projects, the actor said both “Bonolota Express” and “Chokro Season 2” are strong works. “They are good projects, and I believe audiences will enjoy them,” she said.
