‘I got to spend my birthday with my beloved son’: Babita

Celebrated film actress, Babita observed her birthday yesterday, on July 30, with her son Anik in Canada.

Babita happily shared her feelings on her birthday, over the phone, with The Daily Star.

"It's been a few days since I reached Canada. I am feeling delighted that I got to spend my birthday with my beloved son. This is one of my best birthdays," said the actress.

"My son took a leave from his office to celebrate my birthday, and he took me to a beautiful place close to nature, because of my love for plants. We had a great time there," added Babita.

"I also cooked some of my son's favourite dishes. There's nothing more joyful, for me, than to cook for Anik," said the actress.

When discussing the birthday surprise, Babita said, "Spending my birthday with my son was the best surprise. He took me out for a nice dinner and gave me many gifts. This is the kind of surprise I enjoy."

The actress reflected on her life and career, saying, "Birthdays mean you're losing a year from your life. As long as I did something good in life, then I know people will remember for that good deed."

Meanwhile, on the occasion of Babita's birthday, young members from Distressed Children & Infants International organisation (DCI) also celebrated the actress' birthday by cutting a cake and wishing her, as she is the goodwill ambassador of the organisation.

The artiste seemed to be touched by the gesture, and said, "Seeing the smiling faces of these children is one of the greatest things in my life. I always try my best to do work for them, and I miss them a lot."

Bobita concluded the call by saying that her only wish on her birthday is that may everyone be happy.
