‘Hotath Bristi’ book to publish on its 25th anniversary
In 1998, the release of Bangladesh- India joint venture film, "Hotath Bristi" changed the career trajectory for Dhallywood actor Ferdous. The film made him a superstar overnight, and garnered immense praise from the audience.
Now, to keep this memory alive, the producer of the film, Habibur Rahman Khan is going to publish a book about the film on its 25th anniversary. The yet-to-be-titled book will be supervised by Chatku Ahmed.
The cast and crew of the film, Ferdous, Srilekha Mitra, Priyanka Trivedi, Nachiketa Chakraborty, and others, will write about their memories of the film. Apart from this, various actors and journalists from Bangladesh and Kolkata, who wrote about the film at that time will also share their insights about the film in this book.
Ferdous, who played the character of Ajit in the film, said that they are planning a reunion too.
Talking about "Hotath Bristi", Ferdous told The Daily Star, "My life had turned around after this film. It was 'Hothat Brishti' that made me the Ferdous I am today."
