Duronto TV lines up special programmes for Victory Day
Children's television channel Duronto TV has announced a series of special programmes to mark Victory Day on December 16, aiming to inspire young viewers with the spirit and ideals of Bangladesh's independence.
One of the highlights of the channel's Victory Day lineup is a dance programme titled "Lal Shobujer Bijoy". The programme will feature choreographed dance performances set to patriotic songs and poetry, narrating stories of the Liberation War through expressive movement. The initiative seeks to encourage children to connect with the values and consciousness of the country's independence.
The programme has been directed by Monirul Hossain Shipon. Voiceovers have been provided by Sunipun Barua and Mehjabin Moushi, while the choreography has been performed by dancers from Sadhona Cultural Centre. "Lal Shobujer Bijoy" will air on Duronto TV on December 16 at 12:30pm and again at 7pm.
Another special programme, "Amader Muktir Gaan" (Songs of Our Liberation), will also be aired on Victory Day. The programme follows the story of four friends visiting the Liberation War Museum, where they meet Shaheen Samad, an artist from the Bangladesh Muktijoddha Shilpi Sangstha. Through songs and storytelling, the programme explores the formation of the organisation and how a group of young cultural activists used music to inspire hope and resistance among people during the Liberation War.
"Amader Muktir Gaan" will be broadcast on December 16 at 6pm.
In addition to these special features, Duronto TV's Victory Day schedule will include several other programmes: the dance presentation "Mukti" at 7am, another dance programme titled "Priyo Bangladesh" at 4:30pm, the film "Manush" at 10am, and the film "Pathshala" at 10pm.
