Daulatdia an eye-opener for Peya Jannatul

Model and actress Peya Jannatul recently visited the Daulatdia red-light areas for the shooting of her new film, "Rang Bazar". The area was an eye-opener for actress who travelled there for the sake of the film.  

The story of "Rang Bazar" is set against the eviction of the red-light areas. Directed by Rashid Palash, the film also stars Moushumi Hamid, Nazneen Chumki, Tanzika, and Lutfur Rahman George amongst many others.

"I came to act in this film, but was introduced to a new world," said Peya Jannatul to The Daily Star. "This is the first time I have gone to Daulatdia's red-light area for the shooting of the film (Rang Bazar)."

"Until now, I heard many things about this place, but never actually had the opportunity to observe the people here (Daulatia) closely," added Peya. "This experience can't be expressed in words. What you hear about this place from outside and the reality inside – both are substantially different from each other."
