'CID' set one-shot record long before Netflix’s 'Adolescence'

Netflix's crime drama "Adolescence" is making headlines for its hour-long, one-shot episodes. However, two decades earlier, the Indian TV show "CID" set a Guinness World Record with a 111-minute single-take episode titled "Inheritance", aired on Sony TV on November 7, 2004.
Directed by BP Singh and written by Rajat Arora, Shilpa Choubey, and Susheel Choubey, the episode follows the CID team investigating a murder in a mansion with all suspects present. It featured core cast members Shivaji Satam, Aditya Srivastav, Dayanand Shetty, and others, with guest stars like Kay Kay Menon.
The Guinness World Records entry reads, "The longest continuous camera shot in a TV show was 111 minutes, lasting the entire episode of "CID" (Fireworks Productions, India), filmed by director BP Singh in Mumbai, India, on October 8, 2004, and subsequently broadcast by the Sony Entertainment Television Network (India) on November 7, 2004."
"Adolescence", created by Graham and Jack Thorne, follows a British couple whose teenage son is accused of murder. The show features debutant Owen Cooper, Stephen Graham, and Ashley Walters.
