‘Boyam Pakhi’ gets a new spin, featuring Xefer

Is Xefer Rahman the new 'Boyam Pakhi' in 'Allen Swapan'? While Allen Swapan expresses his desire in the song, Xefer completely denies it, stating, "I am not the proverbial 'Boyam Pakhi'." This musical conflict may linger for a while. However, audiences and listeners will get a clear answer when the series premieres on the OTT platform Chorki, during Eid-ul-Fitr.
On the afternoon of March 19, Chorki released the song "Boyam Pakhi 2.0", from the Chorki Original series "Myself Allen Swapan 2". Through this new version, the platform officially announced Xefer's inclusion in the series. She has not only lent her voice to the song, but also acted in the series. Previously, the singer appeared in the web film "Monogamy".

Xefer was already familiar with the "Allen Swapan" series and its characters. When director Shihab Shaheen approached her for a role in "Myself Allen Swapan 2", she did not need much persuasion. Xefer stated, "If the character is interesting, I am always up for acting." However, since music is her primary passion, she couldn't step away from it. Thus, she also lent her voice to "Boyam Pakhi 2.0".

This new version is a remake of the "Boyam Pakhi" song from the 2023 release "Myself Allen Swapan". The original song was sung by Nasir Uddin Khan, who played Allen Swapan in the series. In the new version, Xefer joins Nasir in a duet. The song is composed and arranged by Khayam Sanu Sandhi, with lyrics penned by Khayam Sanu Sandhi, Max Rahman, and Sheikh Korashanee.

Xefer describes her character as complex and layered, saying, "It's difficult to define my role in just one sentence."
