Akshay Kumar finally gets his Indian citizenship
Akshay Kumar, who was brutally trolled for having a Canadian passport, has legally renounced his Canadian passport to reclaim his Indian citizenship yesterday.

Earlier on, Akshay Kumar expressed his sadness to a local media that people doubted his "love for the country".
"To me, India is everything... Everything I've earned and gained has come from here. And I'm grateful for the opportunity to give back. You feel bad when people say things without knowing anything," Akshay poured his heart out in an interview with Aajtak.
He filed for Indian citizenship in 2019, however the procedure was halted owing to the Covid-19 outbreak.
Following an interview with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Kumar's Canadian citizenship became a point of contention.
