Adipurush advance booking: Prabhas film promises box office 'tsunami'
The much-anticipated film, "Adipurush", is set to make a grand entrance as it gears up for its release in India. According to the latest reports on advance bookings, the Prabhas and Kriti Sanon-starrer has already sold over 4.7 lakh tickets for its weekend shows.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh, sharing the details of the film's advance ticket sales at multiplexes, predicted a 'box office tsunami loading' as he unveiled the impressive numbers. Adipurush is scheduled to hit the screens on June 16.
Taran Adarsh confidently stated that the film's box office collection is expected to be massive, not only in single-screen theaters and multiplexes in the north, but also in the southern regions, particularly in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, where Prabhas enjoys a huge fan base.
"Adipurush" is a mythological drama that draws inspiration from the epic Ramayana. Prabhas takes on the role of Raghava, while Kriti Sanon portrays Janaki. The film also stars Saif Ali Khan as the antagonist Ravana, along with Sunny Singh as Lakshmana, Devdatta Nage as Bajrang, and Vatsal Sheth as Meghanadha. Sonal Chauhan and Trupti Toradmal also feature in the film.
Bhushan Kumar backs "Adipurush" as the producer, with Om Raut serving as the director. The film will be released in multiple languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada, catering to a diverse audience.
