Pakistani hip-hop sensations Talha Anjum and Talha Yunus are coming to Dhaka for the first time to perform at a concert scheduled for the third week of October. The event is being organised by Rishka Connect and Dhaka Broadcast, the organisers confirmed to Prothom Alo.

While the official date is yet to be finalised, organisers stated that if all goes as planned, the show will take place on October 17 at a convention center in the capital. Rishka Connect CEO Tauseef Islam revealed that discussions are also underway to bring in another rising Pakistani artist, Hasan Raheem, along with several local musicians and bands. An official announcement with full details will be made soon.

Talha Anjum and Talha Yunus, often mistaken as brothers due to their close bond since childhood, formed the duo "Young Stunners" during their school years, pioneering Urdu rap in Pakistan. They first rose to fame with their 2013 hit "Burger-e-Karachi", followed by tracks like "Maila Majnu" and "Laam Say Chaura". In 2021, they lent their voices to the Pakistan Super League's theme song and performed together at the Pakistan Day Parade.

Eventually, both artists pursued solo careers. Anjum released his debut solo album "Open Letter" in 2023, which earned him two nominations at the 23rd Lux Style Awards, followed by "My Terrible Mind" in 2024. In the same year, Anjum became the most-streamed Pakistani artist on Spotify, surpassing Atif Aslam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, while Yunus ranked fifth on the list.

Earlier this year, Anjum also featured in the Pakistan Super League's theme song alongside Ali Zafar and other artists. Now, Dhaka audiences are set to witness the duo live as they continue to push the boundaries of South Asian hip-hop.
