Priyanka Chopra confirms collaboration with Angelina Jolie
Global star Priyanka Chopra Jonas has confirmed that she is set to collaborate with Hollywood actor Angelina Jolie on an upcoming project, further strengthening her presence in the international entertainment industry.
In a recent interview with Fortune India, Priyanka revealed that she will be working with Jolie, although she stopped short of disclosing details about the venture. The announcement has sparked speculation among fans, who are now wondering whether the collaboration will involve a film, a commercial campaign or a humanitarian initiative.
During the conversation, Priyanka also spoke about the women who have inspired her throughout her career, naming Angelina Jolie alongside Penelope Cruz and Salma Hayek as figures she admires.
While continuing to expand her Hollywood portfolio, Priyanka is also preparing for a long-awaited return to Indian cinema after a seven-year hiatus.
The actor will next be seen in "Varanasi", a big-budget action-adventure film directed by S S Rajamouli. The project marks her first Indian feature film since 2019 and is being positioned as one of the most ambitious productions in Indian cinema.
Speaking about the scale of the film, Priyanka said the team is working on a project unlike anything audiences have seen in recent years.
"What we are trying to do is incredibly ambitious and on a scale that has not been attempted for a long time. I feel privileged and excited, not just for India but for audiences around the world, because this will be a major global release," she said.
The film has reportedly been shot across multiple international locations, including Georgia, Antarctica, Africa and Hyderabad.
Directed by Rajamouli, whose previous works have enjoyed worldwide success, "Varanasi" is expected to receive a global theatrical release on April 7, 2027.
With a major Indian project on the horizon and a collaboration with Angelina Jolie now confirmed, Priyanka continues to balance a thriving career across both Hollywood and Indian cinema.
