Azizul Hakim stars in Father's Day drama 'Babar Diary'
Veteran actor Azizul Hakim takes on the role of a devoted father in "Babar Diary", a special television drama produced to mark Father's Day.
Blending family values, social themes and emotional storytelling, the drama centres on Anis, played by Azizul Hakim, who records his joys, sorrows and unspoken feelings in the pages of a personal diary. As he grows older, Anis finds himself facing neglect and emotional distance from his son and daughter-in-law, despite a lifetime of sacrifice for his family.
The story follows Anis's son Arman, whose personal ambitions and busy lifestyle gradually create a rift between father and son. Feeling unwanted and isolated, Anis eventually leaves home and moves into an old-age care facility.
The turning point comes after Anis's death, when Arman discovers his father's diary. Through its pages, he uncovers the depth of Anis's love, sacrifices and silent struggles. The revelations force him to confront his own failures as a son, but by then, he no longer has the chance to seek forgiveness.
Director Samrat Choudhary said the drama aims to highlight the importance of love, respect and responsibility towards parents.
Alongside Azizul Hakim, the cast also includes Junayed Bukdadi and Misti Ghosh in key roles.
"Babar Diary" will premiere on the Cineplus Studio YouTube channel at 7 pm today (June 20), as part of the Father's Day celebrations.
The release will also mark the official launch of Cineplus Studio as a production house.
