Fresh from its acclaimed international run—including a Big Screen Award win at the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) and a well-received Australian premiere at the 73rd Sydney Film Festival—the film continues to build strong global momentum. In Sydney, “Master” was featured in the festival’s prestigious features section, alongside globally recognised auteurs such as Asghar Farhadi, Cristian Mungiu, and Andrey Zvyagintsev. The festival’s top prize went to “Minotaur”, directed by Brazilian filmmaker Kleber Mendonça Filho.

LIFF 2026 is shaping up as a major celebration of global cinema. The lineup includes a 25th-anniversary screening of the Oscar-nominated epic “Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India” at BFI IMAX, featuring Bollywood star Aamir Khan, alongside special events such as a reunion of the cast of the BBC cult comedy xGoodness Gracious Me” and the UK premiere of the 4K restoration of “In Which Annie Gives It Those Ones”, written by Booker Prize winner Arundhati Roy.

The film also stars Azmeri Haque Badhan, Zakia Bari Mamo, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Sharif Siraj, Tasnova Tamanna, Aminur Rahman Mukul, and Mahmud Alam.

Produced by mypixelstory, the team behind the National Award-winning “The Salt in Our Waters”, the film was developed with a strong international collaboration. Editing was handled by Academy member Kristan Sprague (“Judas” and the “Black Messiah”), with music composed by Los Angeles-based Taiwanese composer Hao-Ting Shi. Post-production supervision included editor Steve M Choe (“Snowpiercer”) and sound designer Han Myung-hwan (“Burning”), alongside Bangladeshi sound editor Sayba Talukder and director Sumit.
