‘Remove war criminals, Jamaat-Shibir men from govt jobs’

A platform of freedom fighters today announced an agitation programme from July 19 to September 2 to press home their six-point demand including removal of the family members of Jamaat-Shibir men and war criminals from public offices.

Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan, also president of Muktijuddher Chetona Bastobayan Mancha, announced the programmes at a rally tittle “Freedom Fighters’ Representative Meeting” held at Mohanagar Natya Mancha in Dhaka.

The demands also include exemplary punishment of those who set fire to the residence of the Dhaka University vice chancellor and ensuring shutdown of business establishments run by the leaders and activists of Jamaat and its student wing Shibir and war criminals.

Road Transport and Bridges Minister and Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque and Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu, among others, were present in the programme.
