Former chairman of Power Development Board (PDB) Mohammad Khizir Khan has been killed at his Madhya Badda residence in Dhaka this evening.
Law enforcers recovered his slit-throat body from the house, Abdul Jalil, officer-in-charge (OC) of Badda Police Station, told The Daily Star.
Khan, 65, retired from the top post of PDB in 2007.
A group of six unidentified people killed Khan after tying up his family members, his relatives alleged.
The assailants, seeking house rent, entered the building around 7:45pm, they said.
