Missing man found dead in Kurigram

Police recovered body of a man at Krisnapur village in Kurigram town today two days after he allegedly went missing.

Deceased Sultan Ali, 51, a resident of Kurigram municipality remained missing from Wednesday, said Mahfujar Rahman, officer-in-charge (OC) of the district’s Sadar Police Station.

Locals found the body in a field this morning and informed police, our Kurigram correspondent reports.

Later, law enforcers recovered the body around 10:30am and sent it to Kurigram Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Quoting family members, the OC said Sultan had been suffering from some physical and mental complications for long.

Sultan died two days ago, the OC said adding that an unnatural death case was filed with the local police station.

“After receiving post-mortem report, we can say the reason behind the death,” the OC added.
