Madrasa teacher sued for raping 12 students
Two separate cases have been filed against a madrasa principal for allegedly raping at least 12 female students of the madrasa in Fatullah area of Narayanganj.
A guardian, on behalf of all victims, filed a case against Al Amin, 45, the principal of Baitul Huda Cadet Madrasa, with Fatullah Model Police Station under Women and Children Repression Prevention Act this morning.
Besides, another case was filed against the teacher by the Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) under the Digital Security Act, our Narayanganj correspondent reports quoting a Rab official.
Yesterday, a Rab team arrested Al Amin from Fatullah area over the allegation of raping and sexually harassing of at least 12 female students of his madrasa.
Earlier, Rab conducted an investigation following a complaint and came to know that Al Amin has been sexually harassing at least 12 female students of the madrasa since 2018, according to Rab-11.
The elite force also recovered some objectionable video clips from his mobile phone and laptop.
During primary interrogation, Al Amin confessed to his crime.
The arrestee will be produced before court seeking 10-day remand for interrogation, said Apel Uddin, senior assistant director of Rab-11.
