Govt extends closure of educational institutions till August 31

The government has extended the ongoing closure of all educational institutions across the country till August 31, aiming at slowing down further spread of coronavirus in the country.

Education and Primary and Mass Education ministries today took the decision following a joint discussion, said a press release.

Earlier, on June 15, the government extended closure of all educational institutions till August 6.

All educational institutions across the country have remained closed since March 17 following detection of the first Covid-19 case on March 8.
