Five-year-old boy murdered in Kishoreganj
Unknown miscreants killed a five-year-old boy at Boro Ghagatia village in Bajitpur upazila of Kishoreganj this afternoon.
The victim was identified as Mohammad Abir, son of Gazir Char Union Parishad chairman Abdul Wahab Jewel. Abir was a class one student at a local school, said police.
Quoting family members and local people, officer-in-charge (Investigation) of Bajitpur Police Station Md Sarwar Jahan said Abir went out with his bicycle for his uncle’s house, adjacent to his house this noon.
He also took meal at his uncle’s house, and after taking meal he had been playing with his friends near the house, said the OC.
All on a sudden, Abir went missing and family members could not trace him after searching here and there.
Local people found the bicycle of the boy near an adjacent jungle and later they also found the boy in throat-slit state in the jungle around 3:00pm.
They immediately took him to Jarurul Islam Medical College and Hospital in Bajitpur where the doctors declared him dead.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Kishoreganj General Hospital morgue for autopsy in the evening, said the OC.
