Bullet-hit body of youth found in Teknaf

Police recovered the bullet-hit body of a youth from Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar this morning.

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Belal, 32, of Hnila union of Teknaf, our correspondent reports quoting police.

On information, police recovered the bullet-hit body lying beside Marine Drive road around 7:00am and sent it to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital for autopsy, said Mohammad Anwar Hossain, in-charge of Baharchhara Police Investigation Centre.

Meanwhile, locals said they heard sounds of gunfire around 1:00am.

Police are investigating the incident, the police official added.
