BAU vice chancellor resigns

Vice Chancellor of Bangladesh Agriculture University (BAU) Prof Dr Rafiqul Haque has resigned following a month of agitation by a section of teachers.

''I've already sent my resignation letter to the concerned ministry tonight (Tuesday night)," Prof Dr Rafiqul told UNB over phone.

A section of teachers of the university under the banner of 'Ganotantrik Shikkhak Forum' had been on a movement for over a month demanding resignation of Dr Rafiqul for his alleged irregularities and corruption.
