Bagerhat ‘Razakar’ Abdul Latif dies

War crimes suspect of Bagerhat Abdul Latif Talukdar died from old age complications attending treatments at a Dhaka hospital today.

He was under medical care of Dhaka Medical College Hospital, ward no. 602, for the last five days.

Sentu Chandra Das,assistant sub-inspector of the hospital's police outpost, confirmed his death. Latif, 68, was moved to the hospital from Dhaka Central Jail on July 23 after he fell sick.

Latif along with two others Sheikh Sirajul Haque alias Siraj Master and Khan Akram Hossain was accused of committing war crimes in Bagerhat during the 1971 Liberation War.
