Govt trying to keep Khaleda from polls: BNP
BNP today alleged that the government has been hatching a conspiracy to make ineligible the party leaders including its chief Khaleda Zia for the next parliamentary polls.
“A blueprint is on to keep the BNP leaders including Khaleda Zia from the elections through filing false cases against them,” said BNP spokesperson Asaduzzaman Ripon at the party’s Nayapaltan headquarters in Dhaka.
He also expressed his concern over getting justice in the cases.
“If the government implements such blueprint to keep the BNP leaders from the polls, they (govt) will have to face dare consequences,” he warned.
The BNP leader lambasted Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu for his remarks that “Khaleda Zia, the queen of arson, won't get any chance to contest the 2019 elections."
