CU teacher gets death threat
A teacher of Chittagong University has filed a general diary stating that he received death threat over phone by a top criminal.
According the GD filed with Hathazari Police Station yesterday, Prof Anwar Sayed of Bangla department narrated that he received the threat around 11:10am yesterday from +918017822725 number, reports our Chittagong staff correspondent.
The caller claiming himself Subrata Bain of Seven Star group demanded money from him, the GD reads.
“The caller told that they needed the money for the treatment of one of their group members. The caller also threatened him that he and his family members will be killed if he does not comply with the demand,” Prof Anwar Sayed stated in the GD.
“We have received the complaint and are trying to investigate,” said Abdullah Al Masum, additional superintendent of police in Hathazari Circle.
Subrata Bain, a most wanted criminal in Bangladesh, was arrested in Kolkata of West Bengal on November 27, 2012.
