Body of ‘criminal’ found in Brahmanbaria

An alleged criminal was found dead on the Comilla-Sylhet highway in Brahmanbaria Sadar this morning.

Deceased Obaidur Rahman Linckon, 38, hailed from Dakhhin Poirtola area in Brahmanbaria municipality, our local correspondent reports quoting police.

He was accused of 18 cases including murder and robbery filed with Sadar Police Station, police said.

Locals found his bullet-hit body on the highway around 9:30am and later informed to the police.

Md Nabir Hossain, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said the body bore bullet injury marks on the left side of his chest.

Obaidur’s uncle Zakir Hossain said that he went missing on Sunday night.

The body was taken to Brahmanbaria Sadar Hospital morgue.
