An iron rod fell off from Moghbazar-Malibagh flyover in Dhaka's Eskaton area killing a construction worker this morning.

The deceased was identified as Md Emon, 25, son of Kabir Hossain from Gaibandha. He was working as a construction worker, police said.

An iron rod fell off from the flyover and hit his head around 11:00am, said Tapash Ghoshal, a sub-inspector of Ramna Police Station. "He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead."

The body has been kept at the medical college for autopsy.
