3 of a family found dead in Gazipur

Police recovered the bodies of three members of a family from a house in Panishail area of Gazipur city this morning.

The deceased were identified as Mosharraf Hossain, 30, his wife Hosne Ara, 22, and their three-month-old daughter Mohini, reports our Gazipur correspondent.

Hailing from Pirganj of Rangpur, the family used to live in a rented house in Panishail, said police.

Hosne Ara and her daughter were found dead on a bed in the room, while Mosharraf's body was found hanging from the ceiling in the house, said Masud Rana, sub-inspector of Kashimpur Police Station.

Locals said Mosharraf, a rickshaw puller, had quarrelled with his wife last night and asked her to bring Tk 5,000 from her mother.

The SI suspects that Mosharraf killed himself after strangulating his wife and child to death.

Police also recovered a bottle of insecticide from the room, said the police official.

Law enforcers recovered the bodies and sent those to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital in Gazipur for autopsy, Masud Rana added.
