Body of college student recovered in Dhaka

The body of a college student was recovered today from Buriganga river near Postogola Bridge in Dhaka.

The deceased, Md Alauddin, 17, an HSC 1st year student of Shaheed Suhrawardy College in the capital, was found floating in the river around 3:00pm, Monirul Islam, office-in-charge of South Keraniganj Police Station, told The Daily Star.

Alauddin, son of Abul Kashem, went out of his home at East Chunkutia of Keraniganj yesterday morning and has been missing since then, the OC said.

He was wearing his college uniform when his body was found today.

The body has been sent to Sir Salimullah Medical College morgue for autopsy.
