Alumni Association of BRAC University honours industry leaders and recognises outstanding alumni works

The current executive body of Alumni Association of BRAC University on Friday organised the first ever alumni fest in the capital.

Md. Tajdin Hassan, president of the Alumni Association pledged that such programs with the involvement and engagement of the Alumni Association would be organised more regularly to strengthen and make the process of networking more efficient and effective.

Sonia Bashir Kabir, managing director of Microsoft Bangladesh delivered the keynote speech on the integral role of the alumni association in creating sustainable leadership.

A panel discussion was held where the industry leaders discussed about potential future changes and challenges in the workplace.

At the end of the session, five alumni were acknowledged for their excellence in different areas.

Muhammad Noorus Sabah, Md. Badrul Alam, Shareq Rauf Chowdhury and Nur-E-Dipha Shamima Muttaqi, Nabila Nowrin and Nahid Sharmin, and Kazi Fayzur Rahman were awarded for their outstanding contribution in ideation, journalism, outstanding project work, entrepreneurship and leadership respectively.

Distinguished guests were also honoured and awarded with crests by the executive committee members at the event.

The Panelists include Naveed Mahbub, CEO- Naveed's Comedy Club; Abu Daud Khan, managing director and CEO, Enroute International Limited; M Manzur Rahman, country head (Digital Services), Robi Axiata Limited and Sajid Rahman, chief executive officer, Telenor Health, Telenor Group.
