2 'Hizb-ut Tahrir men' among 6 held in Dhaka
Detectives claimed to have detained six people including two members of the banned organisation Hizb-ut Tahrir from the capital’s Uttara and Mugda areas last night.
The alleged Hizb-ut Tahrir members were arrested while in possession of a huge number of jihadi books and magazines, says a text SMS sent by Dhaka Metropolitan Police today.
The other four criminals are used to tricking people providing fake appointment letters to earn money from people.
They also deceived people identifying themselves as relatives of the inspector general of police and other high officials, the SMS said.
