Lynpers Chemical Industries Ltd, a local company, will invest $5.7 million to set up a textile chemical industry in Ishwardi Export Processing Zone in Pabna.

The company will produce nine million kilogrammes of textile auxiliary chemicals like green acid, wetting and detergent, green soda, cotton levelling, polyester levelling, softener, silicon, fixing, wash off, stabiliser, and sequestering annually.

This investment will create employment opportunities for 121 Bangladeshis in this factory, Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (Bepza) said in a press release today.

To this effect, BEPZA and Lynpers Chemical Industries Ltd signed an agreement at BEPZA Complex in Dhaka recently, it said.

Ali Reza Mazid, a member for investment promotion of Bepza, and Md Rofiqul Islam Mondal, chairman of Lynpers Chemical Industries Ltd, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
