Tahmima Anam’s ‘The Startup Wife’ arrives at Baatighar

Tahmima Anam's fourth and latest novel, The Startup Wife (Penguin India, 2021) is now available for purchase at BDT 1,019 at Baatighar's Dhaka, Sylhet, and Chattogram branches.

In contrast to her debut trilogy exploring Bangladesh's liberation war and its aftermath, the "rom com-esque" Startup Wife features American-Bangladeshi coder Asha Ray, who abandons her graduate research to develop an algorithm that will create personalised rituals for its secular users. The experiences she encounters reveal the cutthroat, addictive world of startup culture in tech and the courage it takes to stand one's own, particularly for a woman entrepreneur. The book is also about friendship, human relationships, and self-fulfillment.
