A new line for Falgun and Valentine's Day

Creativity and an unerring eye for fashion trends are the two essential qualities of a superb designer, says Maheen Khan, prominent fashion designer and founder of renowned boutique, Mayasir.

“We have to keep abreast of fashion because it is constantly evolving. One's creative instincts are revealed in colourful and well designed attire. The change of attire during festivals and seasons always imparts a sense of magic to our lives. And that will be evident in the way we dress during spring and Valentine's day,” Maheen shared with The Daily Star.

She further stated, “Designers have to be on their toes when the two festivals are back to back: Falgun spreads the colour of gold, yellow, saffron, orange and green. Whereas red, the colour of love, is the predominant colour for Valentine's Day. My target fashion line is for people who are celebrating love all over the world, starting from kameez, palazzo, shirts, kurtis and much more. The versatility of attire is important because it makes one feel good about oneself all the time.”
