Aishwarya lunches with French President

Bollywood superstar Aishwarya Rai Bachchan opted for a red designer Banarasi silk sari for her lunch with French President François Hollande in the Indian national capital on Tuesday.

Aishwarya, who has been in the midst of shooting her new film, managed to find time for attending the lunch said to have been organised in Hollande's honour by French Ambassador to India Francois Richier.

The 42-year-old actress sported a hairdo and some polki jewellery for the occasion, to go with a simple 'bindi' and red lipstick.

The sari is reported to be made in Banaras by traditional weavers.

Aishwarya is a regular at the Cannes International Film Festival and has been a recipient of the prestigious Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters, a civilian award by the French government.

Aishwarya is also the brand ambassador of famous French cosmetics brand L'Oréal Paris.
