US President Donald Trump has revealed that his administration is in discussions with four groups regarding the sale of Chinese-owned social media platform TikTok, as per a recent report by Reuters. Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One on Sunday, Trump indicated that a deal could be reached soon, though he did not disclose the identities of the potential buyers.

TikTok's future has been uncertain since a US law, enacted on January 19, required its parent company ByteDance to sell the app or face a ban over national security concerns. Trump, who took office the following day, signed an executive order delaying the enforcement of the law by 75 days, buying time for negotiations.

When asked about the possibility of a deal, Trump responded, "It could." He added, "We're dealing with four different groups, and a lot of people want it ... all four are good."

The potential sale has drawn interest from several parties, including former Los Angeles Dodgers owner Frank McCourt. Analysts estimate TikTok could be worth up to $50 billion, given its rapid growth and massive user base.

TikTok and ByteDance have not yet commented on the developments. The outcome of these talks could determine the app's future in the US, where it has faced scrutiny over data privacy and its ties to China, states the Reuters report.
