Cisco launches AI platform to manage IT infrastructure
Cisco has introduced a new AI system called Cisco IQ, designed to help businesses manage their IT infrastructure. As per an official blog post by the company, the platform aims to address challenges companies face with the complexity of AI-powered operations.
According to Cisco, the system can perform tasks such as identifying potential system failures before they occur and accelerating problem resolution through AI-powered troubleshooting. The company cited internal research indicating that 92% of IT leaders believe vendor support services are becoming more important due to increasing technological complexity.
The platform will be available through multiple deployment options, including cloud-based and on-premises versions. Cisco stated the system is built on its "responsible AI principles" and is intended to assist rather than replace human IT staff.
The announcement was made during Cisco's Partner Summit, with the company noting that partners will be able to use the platform to provide services to their customers. Cisco IQ will be integrated into the company's existing support and professional services offerings.
