Thousands of families across Bangladesh are quietly battling a lifelong condition known as thalassaemia.

Many thalassemia patients are transfusion-dependent for life, starting from the age of six months.

Despite being a preventable disease, thalassaemia continues to spread in Bangladesh, with an average of around 15 children born with this blood disorder every day.
