Sophie Turner is reportedly close to landing the lead role in Amazon’s upcoming “Tomb Raider” series. According to Variety, although the deal has not been finalised yet, it is expected to be confirmed shortly.
Alicia Vikander's “Tomb Raider” ruled the international box office over the week, with $84.5 million at 32,685 screens in 65 markets, led by a solid $41.1 million opening in China.
Disney-Marvel's "Black Panther" maintains its momentum at the domestic box office, winning its fifth consecutive weekend with $27 million from 3,834 locations.
It's been a beat since we heard anything on the new Tomb Raider movie, directed by Roar Uthaug from a script by Evan Daugherty.
