Bangladesh former captain Tamim Iqbal said on Thursday that the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) needs to consider the interests and future of Bangladesh cricket before making a decision regarding the T20 World Cup. The BCB has conveyed that it wants Bangladesh’s matches to be held in Sri Lanka instead of India.

Rejecting claims made in a news report on ESPNcricinfo of the International Cricket Council (ICC) issuing an ultimatum to the Bangladesh Cricket Board, the BCB has issued a statement regarding what has been communicated to it by cricket’s world body regarding the upcoming T20 World Cup.
