At the 42nd jury session of the Berlinale World Cinema Fund (WCF), twelve international film projects from Bangladesh, Bolivia, Brazil, Cambodia, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Mexico, Panama, Sudan, Tunisia, Ukraine, and Venezuela have been selected for funding.
The Bangladeshi film “Suraiya”, directed by Robiul Alam Robi and based on the novel of the same name by Shibabrata Barman, has been chosen for the Tasveer Film Festival and Market in Seattle, USA.
The Asian Project Market (APM), considered the largest film investment and co-production market in Asia, has recently unveiled its 30 selected projects for this year’s edition. Among these prestigious selections is the Bangladeshi film “Suraiya”, directed by Robiul Alam Robi, which has earned its spot among the talented pool of filmmakers.
